this year started out quite sad yet wonderful with the passing of my parents. I miss them dearly but it is SO comforting to know that they are together, that is such a huge blessing. I can't imagine the loneliness one feels of losing a loved one and waiting to be reunited with them again. Mom and Dad didn't have to go through that.
2010 ended on such happy notes...2 weddings and a missionary with so many other wonderful things, like Jacob moving up here, the love of family and friends and neighbors. We are very blessed.
Here's to a piece of heaven in 2011!!

Riverwoods
The Riverwoods have been beautifully remodeled with fire pits, gazebo, lights etc. We took Hazel and the kids to see Tangled and then to the Riverwoods to ride in the horse drawn carriage ("nays" as Jaxon refers to horses). He especially liked the ride, Savannah sat on my lap for the movie and she loved it. Fun day!!

David + Megan = wedding in November!!
After talking about it for so long, David finally proposed to Megan. They first set the date on Dec. 21st but then changed it to November 27th. I got to go dress shopping with Megan, her mother and her sister. Megan picked out a lovely and elegant dress. I'm so happy for the both of them and wish much happiness!! Yippee!! Casey and Emily are planning a December 18th wedding and Bert goes into the mission training center on December 1st!!

Quick trip to visit Jacob in Yosemite.
After the trip to the Oregon coast we drove down to Yosemite (long drive) to see Jacob while he is working in Yosemite for 3 months. His friend, Katie, got him a job there. He is loving it, fresh air, meeting new people from all over the world, feels healthy and strong. We took a short hike to Dog Lake, watched a presentation on frogs, swam in the river, had dinner, went to a campfire and star gazed. We were just sorry that we didn't have more time. Miss ya Jacob.
